Introducing Ecosulis
Ecosulis is a proactive team of ecologists committed to embracing the environmental challenges of our changing world.
The company has been operating for 10 years in the fields of Ecological Consulting and Countryside Management. They have recently expanded into Environmental Impact Assessment and Research & Development where they provide a wide range of highly specialist services.
They are a respected company whose clients include Taylor Wimpey, Welsh Power, Gamesa and many more.
The Challenge
Ecosulis took advantage of 2010 as their 10-year anniversary to revitalize their image and launch their additional Environmental Impact Assessment and Research & Development services.
Two of the overall services can be seen as competing so mwa Digital had to create a way of clearly segregating a total of four main strategic business units whilst still presenting all the information in a single Website.
Ecosulis has a hands-on management team and a marketing agency in London so content management had to be available without restricting the design or navigation architecture.
What We Did
We worked closely with SCIAD, a London Based online marketing agency who had a good understanding of the Ecosulis business.
We chose Drupal as our de-facto open source content management system on the basis that we needed to produce a creative design style and navigation hierarchy that could not be restricted in any way by the content management requirement.
Each strategic business unit was colour coded and this was carried through from Home Page quick links to the Web 2.0 global navigation.
The global navigation rollout gave an instant impression of the depth and breadth of services offered, whilst the colour coding helps clearly define each unit.
The colour coding was taken through to Case Studies and the client has the ability to choose which Case Studies appear as image, title and colour tag links on the Website pages.
The client team are free to make updates on demand to keep the content fresh, the PR & Marketing Agency can make additions as well, and the team responsible for search engine marketing have an easier job thanks to intelligent way in which the Meta module developed by mwa Digital allows them to add, edit and delete Meta information rapidly.
